About their program
- Riding program: We are a therapeutic riding center serving special needs children of all ages through equine therapy. We are physically located in Osage County serving eight (8) Green Country counties. We serve 85+ riders (clients) weekly of which 45 are students attending local area schools. While we charge a fee of $30 per lesson, many of our riders are unable to pay and we do not charge our schools; therefore, we heavily rely on sponsors, donors and fund raisers.
- Local area schools we are currently serving: Anderson Elementary, Prue Elementary, Northwoods Fine Arts Academy and Sand Springs (Clyde Boyd and their transitional students) and we are a resource for many.
- Volunteer program: We are a resource for all, logging approximately 4,500 volunteer hours annually. These hours are made up of students (junior high/high school, interns, students of all ages/all career paths, empty nesters, retirees and organizations.
- Currently, we have two student interns (Tulsa Met and TU). Past interns included the following educational schools/career paths: RSU, NSU, OSU, OU, TCC, Tulsa Tech.
